Date of Birth: December quarter 1895
Place of Birth: Highgate High Street, London

(Arthur) Frederick was a son of Arthur and Elizabeth Jane Andrews. He had five siblings, two of whom had died by 1911: Leonard, Reginald and (Ernest) Robert. In 1901 the census shows the family living at 5 Swain’s Lane, his father’s occupation was “Labourer, Highgate Cemetery Coy.”. In 1911 the family were living at 9 Pickering Cottages, North Hill, Highgate and 15 year old Frederick was working as a Milk Boy at Manor Farm. His father was a grave digger at nearby Highgate Cemetery.

Service Details: Private 6401 – Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), 13th Battalion. Enlisted 22 December 1915 (15 Star, Victory & British medals) – enlisted Highgate
